FAQs

Two buildings are proposed including a 50 residential storey tower and a 2 storey pavilion that will accommodate a restaurant.

A mix of 1 bed and 2 bed homes would be available.

We are still in conversations with the Council about the amount of affordable housing in the scheme.

The development would be car-free. Our plans include 528 cycle parking spaces for residents in the mezzanine level, including two-tier racks and folding bike lockers to encourage active travel.

Yes. We have a great track record of building modern, environmentally sustainable properties and we aim to be carbon neutral. Measures for this include targeting BREEAM standards of either ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ as the minimum across both the pavilion and main building.  We will also be targeting a minimum EPC rating of B for all apartments, ensuring they are efficient and environmentally friendly to live in.

As well as the delivery of much needed high-quality homes to address the Council’s housing need, the proposed development brings with it a wide range of other benefits.  This includes the delivery of a long term vacant and strategically important City Centre site, new flexible commercial floorspace that will activate Central Square, a publicly accessible bike hub and cafe, a new pavilion building that can accommodate a world class restaurant, extensive public realm landscaping in and around the buildings, highly sustainable and energy efficient buildings, together with wider economic and social benefits for the City.

The proposals seek to activate Central Square and support public accessibility. The scheme includes new flexible commercial floorspace, including a publicly accessible bike hub and cafe, a new pavilion building that will accommodate a new restaurant, and the extensive new public realm landscaping in and around the buildings.
